Cat urine goes hand in hand with having a beloved pet and cat urine cleaning is a day-to-day reality of taking care of your cat. Cat urine removal is easiest if done daily and it is also healthier for your cat. In order to clean cat urine, once your cat is finished, scoop the soiled litter out of the box and dispose of it. If you are home and around to see it clean the litter box every time the cat uses it. This is especially important if your cat is old and/or picky or if you have more than one cat that shares the same litter box.
Cats are notoriously clean but they cannot clean and change their own litter so be good to your cat and don't force him to use a dirty litter box, but instead change the litter to fresh litter once a week. When you change the litter to fresher litter make sure to cover the extreme bottom of the pan. You will need to make sure that there is at least an inch to an inch and a half of fresh litter in the litter box.
There are many types of cat urine cleaning products on the market but when you empty your cat's litter box and clean it out the best thing to use is a solution of white vinegar and warm water. Run warm water into the litter box and then add the vinegar and let it sit for a few minutes to act as a cat urine remover. If the litter box has a serious cat urine odor then neutralize it further by adding a speck of lemon juice to the water and vinegar solution and allow it to sit for a matter of minutes.
Once the litter box has been thoroughly washed out and cleaned, dry it with paper towels or an old rag and then add a few drops of baking soda in it to further discourage the extreme cat urine. Be aware that male cats who have not been neutered tend to have the foulest smelling odor of all cats and the super cat urine smell should go away once the male has been fixed.
Cleaning cat urine should be a priority on the list of cat needs. When it comes to choosing a cat urine remover sometimes the products you already have around your home are good enough. If you arrive home to find a cat urine stain from earlier in the day, on your carpet, don't despair. Mix some baking soda with a tiny speck of the product Lemon Essential Oil and then adding a little water to the cat urine stain give it a good scrubbing. Together the lemon oil and baking soda will help to combat the stain that has already taken root in the carpet. Finding and selecting a cat urine remover can be as simple as rummaging in a kitchen or bathroom cupboard for something that works wonders!
Cat urine on a cement floor can easily be removed by first wiping up the stain and then sprinkling a small portion of baking soda on the area. Immediately after doing this, add a drop of white vinegar to the floor. The foaming of the three chemical agents that you have applied to the floor should work as an effective cat urine remover. Leave the solution on the floor for a few minutes to ensure it is working properly and then wipe it up and your cat urine stain should be all gone.
