Ragdoll kittens grow into beautiful Ragdoll cats and are wonderfully sociable animals. The Ragdoll cat is a big animal with medium to long hair and he has points that are similar to that of a Siamese cart. Ragdoll cats come in five different types which include Mitted, Colorpoint, Bi-color, Tortoiseshell and Lynx. All of these varieties of Ragdoll cat can come in one of a variety of six colors which include Cream, Red, Seal, Chocolate, Lilac and Blue. A Ragdoll cat will grow to be a decent size. In some cases they have reached a weight of 4.5 kg and upwards of 9 kg. A Ragdoll cat has fur that resists matting which makes grooming a relatively simple process. Ragdoll cats have muscular bodies that are sturdy and strong and they have chests that are very deep. The neck of a Ragdoll cat is short and it is heavy set with a head that is tapered and medium in size. The Ragdoll cat has a round muzzle and full cheeks. Ragdoll cat breeders will tell prospective buyers that these delightful cats sport large paws and have shortish legs. A Ragdoll cat has a long tail and ears that are evenly shaped with plenty of width at the base and are completed by rounded tips. The tips of the Ragdoll cat's ears tilt forward ever so slightly. Whether you get your Ragdoll kitten or Ragdoll cat from Colorado, Georgia, NY, or Victoria, Australia they will have big, beautiful eyes in the color blue that are oval-shaped and their nose and pads of their paws are brown or black, except for bi-colored Ragdoll cats which have noses and paw pads that are pink.

Colorpoint Ragdoll cats have a face mask, legs, tail and ears that are colored and there is a small amount of light shading on their fur. However the majority of a Colorpoint Ragdoll cat is cream in color as this type of Ragdoll cat breed has no whiter on it whatsoever. The Mitted Ragdolls are similar to Colorpoints except for the fact that their front paws resemble white mittens and their back paws are reminiscent of white boots. The stomach, chin and ruff of a Mitted Ragdoll kitten or cat is white in color. Some Mitten Ragdoll kittens for sale have a white blaze showing on their faces.

The bi-color Ragdolls look a lot like the Mitted Ragdolls except for the fact that their legs are totally white and an inverted white "V" mask shows on the mask on their face. The Lynx Ragdoll cats have all of the same physical features as the Ragdoll cats previously described except on their faces they have tabby like markings and what closely resembles a "W" shape. Finally the Tortoiseshell Ragdolls cats are also the same as the other descriptions mentioned above with one exception- these type of Ragdolls sport tortie points and have either a cream color or a red color mixed in with any of the other colors on its body. Mink Ragdoll kittens in particular are gorgeous little creatures.
